About Us

When the Lopez Family moved from Mexico to the United States it was sheer luck they ended up moving to Central Arkansas. They had a relative that lived in Sherwood and invited them to visit to see if they would like it there. It was the biggest break of their lives. Every dream the Lopez Family has ever had, they have been able to realize, right here in Central Arkansas. Here they found consistent work for their parents, great schools for their children, and a community that wrapped their arms around them. Mercado El Valle came from the family’s desire to give back to a community that has given them so much. Through this store, the Lopez family is able to share with their community the delicious food that Mexico is known for in addition to the convenience of local fresh produce. This is the Lopez family's next and biggest dream. We can’t wait to share it with you.
